How to upgrade your Pencil MYOB Acumatica customisation file to the latest version

We've deployed an update to our MYOB Acumatica customisation package to bring it up to the latest version 24.200.001

 

Please follow these steps:

  1. Download the latest Pencil customisation package for MYOB Acumatica.

    1. Login to Pencil as Supplier.

    2. Navigate to Integrations -> MYOB Acumatica.

    3. Click on the download button next to label Customisation package.

  2. Import the latest Pencil customisation package downloaded at step 1 to MYOB Acumatica.

    1. Login to MYOB Acumatica instance as Administrator.

    2. Navigate to Publish Customisation screen - ID SM204505.

    3. Un-publish the existing Pencil customization package.

      1. Case Pencil customisation package is the only one package published.

        1. Click UNPUBLISH ALL button.

      2. Case there are other published packages.

        1. Check all the published packages.

        2. Un-check Pencil customisation package.

        3. Click PUBLISH button.

    4. Delete the un-published existing Pencil customization package.

      1. Un-check all the packages.

      2. Check Pencil customisation package.

      3. Click Delete Row ( X ) button.

    5. Import the latest Pencil customisation package.

      1. Click Import button and follow the steps.

      2. Check the newly imported Pencil customisation package.

      3. Click VALIDATE PROJECTS button.

      4. Click all other published packages if existing.

      5. Click PUBLISH button.

    6. Resolve conflicts

      1. Solution: Update the Level of the packages.

      2. If the you or your partner cannot resolve the conflict(s), please let Pencil know and a guide will be provided for each cases.

  3. After the you complete Step 2, please inform Pencil so that we can test the connection and update the new endpoint version to 24.200.001 in the Pencil → Integrations → MYOB Acumatica settings.

We recommend updating the Pencil customisation package to the latest version as soon as possible, especially if you are still using the Default REST endpoint 20.200.001. This is because this endpoint 20.200.001 is the base endpoint of the Pencil REST API and might be deleted soon in the next updates of MYOB Acumatica.
