The answer is yes, customers can make multiple payments to an invoice from Cin7 invoice (but not from the Xero invoice).
To enable multiple payments from a Cin7 invoice you can click on this link if you're logged in to Pencil admin account (https://app.pencilpay.com/admin/integrations/dear) and/or follow the steps below:
Go to Pencil -> Integrations -> Cin7 > scroll to the bottom of the page and turn ON these two settings and hit save:

Allow your customer to edit the payment amount? (TOGGLE ON)

Enable multiple payments to an Invoice? (TOGGLE ON)

Once you have enabled the above settings, you can send the Cin7 invoice with the payment and your customer can edit the amount they want to pay, enter their credit card details (if they are not already saved) and make the partial payment.
To make another payment, they can then click the payment link again in the Cin7 invoice and make additional payments (can be as many as they need until the invoice is fully paid).
If you only wish to allow a particular customer to have this capability, you can then turn OFF or toggle OFF the two settings listed above to disable and not allow your customers to be able to make a partial payment using the cin7 invoice.
