How do I securely store my customers' credit card details for future payment processing?

Many of you have customers that call up to pay their invoices over the phone. You may have stored these cards somewhere or they provide the card details over the phone each time.

This is often time consuming, inconvenience and also doesn’t meet the PCI security requirements.

Pencil traditionally solves this by allowing you to on board your customers with a saved payment method that you can either manually charge when the customer calls up and asks to make payment or leave to Pencil to auto charge on the due date.

This works 80% of the time, however, you still may have customers who won’t sign up to Pencil, but are happy to pay over the phone and store their credit card for future purchases.

In this video, I will show you how this feature works and how you can use it.

Please note that we need to enable this in your account before you can use it. Please email support@pencilpay.com and we’ll enable it today.

In the coming week we are also implementing an update to this feature to allow you to store the customer’s credit card details from the Customer view in Pencil. We’ll update and provide a demo video once this is done.
