How to use two separate customer introductions for the Customer On Boarding Email?

You may want to use a separate customer on boarding introduction for new customers compared to existing customers. You can do this following the steps below.

First, you need to decide which customers are more common for you (either new or existing) then that way, you can proceed with the suggestions below:

  1. If for example, new customers are more common for you then follow these steps:

    1. Log into Pencil and go to: Pencil -> Settings -> Credit Forms -> Email Template Blocks.

    2. Then click the "Edit" icon for the "[001] Customer On Boarding Email" block.

    3. Make your required updates to the introduction for the new customers and save.

    4. Now when you send an on boarding email to customers and you don't edit the introduction text on a case-by-case basis, this will be the default text used.
  2. Then for all your existing customers, every time you send the customer an on boarding email from (...) More Actions -> Send Email -> you need to do one more step as follows:
     
    1. After you select the email address you want to send the on boarding email to, you need to toggle ON the "Edit Email Content" setting. 


    1. This will open a new dialogue box and you can edit this text manually. 
    2. We recommend that if this text is always the same, save the text to a text file so you can copy and paste easily.
