How to send an on boarding email to a new customer in Pencil

Prior to sending the on boarding email to your customer, you have the option to select set a specific Payment Term and select the credit limit prior to sending the on boarding email.

To add a new customer and send them an on boarding email with only the option to select the 30 Days you can do the following:

  1. Log into Pencil and go to: Customers → in the top right corner click the "+ New Customer"

  2. Then enter the customer's ABN and click Search → and select the Trading Name and click Next.

  3. Enter the Authorised Rep or Director details and click Next

  4. If you have more information you know about the customer you can enter it, otherwise click on Save and go back to Pencil → Customers (you can any warnings or errors it is ok to continue back to Customers).

  5. In Customers you will see this new customer. You can click the (...) under More Actions and click on Send On-Boarding Email.

  6. Then select the user name you added and click the "Set Payment Term:" to 30 Days and also update the "Credit Limit (AUD)" to set the credit limit for the customer.

  7. Then click Send.
