How to take credit card payments over the phone

You may have an EFTPOS terminal or two that you use when customers call up and want to pay by credit card over the phone.

With Pencil you can now do this with ease and no longer need the hassle of EFTPOS terminals.

The process is simple: 

1. You customer calls up and they want to pay their invoice(s) via credit card.
2. You log into Pencil and go to Invoices -> search for the invoice number.

   Under “Actions” click on the “Pay” icon.

3. You can pay more than one invoice in the one payment by toggling ON “Add more invoices?” and select all the invoices you want to include in the payment.

4. Click Next -> then click on “Pay invoice by credit card”.

5. Enter the payment details and click on “Pay”.

6. Both you and your customer will receive an email confirmation for the invoice payment(s).
